MacFarlane, Jane

Biography: 

Jane is an actor, director, teacher, voice coach who has been a member of CAEA for 19 years. Some favourite roles include: Kate in Taming of the Shrew, Lady M in Macbeth, Beatrice, in Much Ado about Nothing, Clytemnestra in Agamemnon, and MRs Crachit in A Christmas Carol. Jane taught Voice for the Actor and Acting for 14 years at Mount Royal University in Calgary, where she directed the 1st year studio performance, including The Seagull, Three Sisters, The Crucible, Scenes from American Life, The Dining Room, Oedipus, Our Town, and Aberhart Summer. She was the coodinator-director of the New Student Orientation play at MRU, I Heart MRU, for 8 years. It was a project that was written with 6 students from the Performance and Technical Theatre programs at MRU. Jane is the Resident Voice Coach for Theatre Calgary, where she has coached over 40 productions in the last 14 years.
