Courtney Chng Lancaster is from Antigonish, Nova Scotia and has performed and created theatre from coast to coast. She has trained with the University of British Columbias BFA Acting Program, the Citadel/Banff Professional Theatre Program and the Soulpepper Academy. Recent selected acting credits include Of Human Bondage (which received a Dora for Outstanding Ensemble), The Dining Room, Idiots Delight, The Barber of Seville, The Crucible, Death of a Salesman, The Royal Comedians, and the collectively created piece Dirt (Soulpepper); The Tin Drum (UnSpun Theatre), The Flood Thereafter (Canadian Stage); The Ballad of Weedy Peetstraw (Summerworks/Black Hammer Group); Macbeth: Nach Shakespeare (Theatre Conspiracy); Pride and Prejudice (Citadel Theatre); As You Like It (Blue Bridge Repertory Theatre); Tough! (Festival Antigonish). Courtney is a founding member of The Howland Company, and recently co-directed their inaugural pro duction, 52 Pick-Up (Fringe/Best of Fringe). She was noted by Now Magazine's Jon Kaplan as a "Top 10 Theatre Artist" in 2013, received the 2013 My Theatre Awards Emerging Artist Award, and is an alumnus of the Loran Award and the Millennium Scholarship.
