Shannon Murphy is an Irish gal, raised in Calgary where she studied Kinesiology at the University of Calgary. A recent graduate of George Brown Theatre School, she is making her plunge into the Toronto scene as a Young Innovator with Nightwood Theatre and as part of the newly formed company, Kindling Collective. This company was formed as a reaction to the constraints she witnessed in the opportunities for women to explore powerful roles and the lack of diversity put into the casting in classical theatre.
