Scott, Alexis

Biography: 

Alexis Scott is an Ottawa based actor, producer and theatre creator. She is a graduate of The Ottawa Theatre School and studied acting and creation at The University of Windsor. She is Co-Founder and Artistic Producer of Vacant House Theatre, which specializes in collective creations that form site specific, community based experiences. Alexis most recently co-produced and acted in Vacant House’s inaugural production of The Anger in Ernest and Ernestine. The show was adapted by the collective to be performed in the cramped basement laundry room of a hostel downtown. The show also went on to do a small summer tour to Perth and Bancroft. Alexis has a deep love for creation, and continues to expand her vocabulary by taking workshops. She has most recently studied Meisner, Laban, Viewpoints and holds a beginner Fight Certification with Ottawa Stage Combat in Single Sword and Unarmed Combat. Favourite theatre credits include: The Anger in Ernestine in The Anger in Ernest and Ernestine (Vacant House Theatre), Adriana in The Comedy of Errors (Bear & Co.), Jean Lobb in The Farm Show directed by Andy Massingham and Apollo in The Eumenides directed by Jodi Essery.
