Sarah Jane is based in Vancouver, BC. A native of Victoria, she is a long-time collaborator with Snafu Dance Theatre and Atomic Vaudeville as an actor, sound designer and singer. From 2009-2013, she originated and performed the role of Jane Doe in "Ride The Cyclone" by Brooke Maxwell and Jacob Richmond. Other selected credits include Laura in "The Glass Menagerie" for Blue Bridge Repertory Theatre, ensemble member in Les Petites Cellules Chaudes' "iShow", and writer and performer in AV's most recent creation "Action Review."
In 2014, her training in theatre and classical music led her to a residency at Pacific Opera Victoria where she interned as a stage director for opera, an avenue she continues to pursue. Past projects include assistant for Das Rheingold, Lucia di Lammermoor and Madama Butterfly at POV; The Merry Widow at Edmonton Opera and Marriage of Figaro at Opera Manitoba. For the Victoria Conservatory of Music she has directed Purcell's Dido and Aeneas and her own original adaptation of The Fairy Queen.
