A world premier of Cullis's new play, The Happy Woman, was produced by Nightwood Theatre as part of their 2012 season (March 3 - 24) at the Berkeley Street Theatre. Maev Beaty was nominated for a Dora Award for her role as Cassie; the play was shortlisted for the Carol Bolt award in October 2012. Previous productions include The Dinner Party andBaal at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, Pure Motives at the Theatre Centre, and an early, workshopped version of The Happy Woman in Summerworks. Her plays and short fiction have been published in a variety of anthologies including Outspoken, Two Hands Clapping, Youre Making a Scene, and in Red Light: Saints, Sluts & Superheroes. In addition to The Happy Woman, Cullis is currently developing a play calledThat Camille Claudel Feeling and collaborating on a film script based on her short stories about growing up in Scarborough.
