Brooks, Olivia

Biography: 

Olivia is a stage manager, technician, creator, producer and playwright working in theatre and live entertainment. A proud member of the Metis Nation of Alberta, she currently resides in Calgary and has worked with such companies as Quest Theatre, One Yellow Rabbit, Theatre Calgary, Alberta Theatre Projects, The Green Fools, Sled Island, the Calgary Folk Music Festival and the Calgary Stampede's Grandstand Show. Olivia's recent stage management credits include: I Didn't Wear My Raincoat (MoMo Dance Theatre), Making Treaty 7 (Making Treaty 7 Cultural Society), The Bone House (Apparition Theatre), Cowboy Versus Samurai (Chromatic Theatre), Castle In The Sky (CastleReigh Documentary Theatre) and Control (Major Matt Mason Collective). Her recent playwrighting credits include; Wihtiko (Sage Theatre's Ignite! Festival), Family (Urban Society for Aboriginal Youth) and Eclipse (Co-Wrote, Owl and Otter Productions). Currently, Olivia is the Festival Manager for the High Performance Rodeo, is an Artistic Associate for Chromatic Theatre and sits on the board for the Betty Mitchell Awards in Calgary.
