Watson, Megan

Biography: 

Megan is a director/theatre creator from Ottawa who makes Toronto her home. She is the Apprentice Artistic Director/Artistic Associate at The Grand Theatre in London, Ontario for the 2015/16 where she assists on main-stage productions, works with local playwrights on new play development and will be directing a production of Julius Caesar with the spring High School Project.
Select Directing credits include: Crookback -a solo adaptation of Richard III (self-produced/ touring)The Queer Bathroom Stories (Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, World Pride programming, Toronto Fringe and university tour), Derailed (SummerWorks), As Is and Bent (Theatre Engine)
Megan has also had the pleasure of assistant directing for some of Canada’s top directors including Eda Holmes, Richard Greenblatt, Micheline Chevrier, Glenda Sterling and Susan Ferley.
She has a Bachelors of Fine Arts in acting from Ryerson University and a Masters of Fine Arts in directing from the University of Alberta where she directed productions of Here and Now, Much Ado about Nothing and When The Rain Stops Falling.
