Sulc, Maggie

Biography: 

Maggie Sulc is a scriptwriter and dramaturg hailing originally from Tennessee and Texas. She first embarked for Canada after completing her BA in English at Rice University and since graduating with her MA in Theatre and Performance Studies from York University August 2014 has remained in the Great White North. In Toronto, Maggie divides her time between developing new work for stage, screen, and podcasting, promoting new writing and writers through the Toronto Cold Reads, and serving as a live-in mentor and support worker for two adult women with developmental disabilities. Her current projects include writing a play about haunted antique dolls for Storefront Theatre’s playwrights unit, dramaturging a multi-sited performance about “aliens” for the 2016 Edinburgh Fringe, and workshopping her play somewhere never travelled, the story of a relationship inspired by E.E.
