Marilo Nuñez has been working in Canadian theatre for over 20 years as an actor, playwright, producer and director. She was the founding Artistic Director of Alameda Theatre Company, one of Canadas only theatre companies dedicated to developing the new work of Latino Canadian playwrights. Directing: Gettysburg Address (First Stages Festival, Hamilton), Paradise Red (Cocodrilo Triste Collective, Summerworks 2014), Soliciting Temptation (Asst Director/Tarragon Theatre), Chile Con Carne (Alameda Theatre Company), The Intruder (Alameda Theatre Company), Hallaj (Assistant Director/Modern Times). Current: writing El Retorno/I Return (Theatre Aquarius Playwrights Unit 2015, Tarragon Playwrights Unit 2013) and Sangre:Redux (2011 De Colores Festival of New Works, Cahoots 2010-11 Hot House Playwrights Unit). Marilos first play, Three Fingered Jack & the Legend of Joaquin Murieta, was published in Fronteras Vivientes by Playwrights Canada Press.
