Farsi, Marie

Biography: 

As a theatre director and creator, Marie trained across the globe to study Theatrical Biomechanics of Meyerhold in Perugia (Italy), Jingju, an acrobatic form of Chinese Opera at the National Academy of Chinese Theater Arts in Beijing, and more recently Wayang Kulit, the traditional Balinese shadow puppetry. Recent directing credits include Movements 1&2 (Babelle Theatre); John & Beatrice produced both in English and in French (Vortex Theatre); Seabird is in a Happy Place (Samuel French OOB Short Play Festival/NYC); Rivulets: 3 short plays about a flood (Babelle Theatre); and The 4th Graders Present an Unnamed Love-Suicide (Tremors Festival/Rumble Theatre). She was also the recipient of the 2015 Prix Power Corporation du Canada as an emerging Franco-Canadian theatre artist.
