Lori Nancy is an award-winning actor, singer and theatre creator who feels fortunate to have performed all over the world in theatre, voice-over, TV & film. She just came off tour from performing around Ontario in Cracked: New Light on Dementia. Recently she appeared in Driftwood Theatre Groups: Trafalger 24; Food of Love and The Odyssey. Prior to that, she played Irene in the Mirvish musical production of My Mothers Lesbian Jewish Wiccan Wedding (Canadian Comedy Award Nomination). Favourite theatre credits include: originating the title role in Marty Chans innovative, Martial Arts-Chinese Opera, The Forbidden Phoenix (Citadel Theatre & YPT); The Tearful Bride in Convergence Theatres interactive, multi-show hit, The Gladstone Variations (Top 10 Shows of the Decade NOW Magazine). A frequent guest artist with Theatre Gargantua, she co-starred in their ground-breaking production, e-DENTITY (Dora Award Nomination), at the Royal Alexandra Theatre - a physical theatre piece that blended live internet, vocal creation, athletic movement and text. Selected film & TV appearances include: Warehouse 13; Stag; Twice In A Lifetime; The Safety Of Objects; and Americas Prince: The JFK Jr. Story. She has trained with the Randolph Academy, Theatre Rusticle, Frantic Assembly (U.K.), Volcano Theatre, Kaeja dDance and the Toronto School of Circus Arts. Lori Nancy is passionate to work in multidisciplinary, ensemble-based creations that incorporate multimedia, sound & movement. Upcoming: audience-interactive Dance Marathon with bluemouth inc.
