Fyffe, Laurie

Biography: 

Laurie Fyffe is the author of The Malaysia Hotel, a winner of the 2001 Herman Voaden Playwriting Competition, published by Theatre Ontario. Other plays include The Serpent of the Nile (SummerWorks 2003), The Passion (Theatre Kingston 2002), Ballad for a Rumrunner's Daughter (Blyth 1995), Aunt Hannah (Factory Theatre 1994), Paradise Express (Tarragon 1993), A Field of Flowers (Blyth 1991). In December of 2010, Laurie completed her MA in Theatre & Dramaturgy at the University of Ottawa, where she subsequently taught. Laurie contributes theatre reviews to Ottawa's Capital Critics Circle. Works in progress include Mirage and The Great Shoe War. A fundraiser, Laurie was Director of Development at Tarragon, 2004-2007, and is currently Director of Fundraising at Ottawa Little Theatre.
