Provan, Kirsty

Biography: 

Kirsty Provan is an actor/writer currently residing in Vancouver, Canada. A former Bard on the Beach Young Shakespearean, Kirsty completed a one-year acting apprenticeship with Pacific Theatre at the age of 19. She then went on to receive her 3 year diploma from Studio 58. She now works professionally in theatre and film, as well as teaching programs at Trinity Western University, Pacific Theatre, Bard on the Beach and Viva Voce Speech Arts Studio. Kirsty’s recent theatre credits include Socrates’ 2nd Wife (PT), The Old Curiosity Shop (UP), Bench Seat (PT), Wolf at the Door (PT), and The Secret Doctrine (SFU). Kirsty was also involved in the Crazy 8’s Film Festival, the Arts Club Actors’ Intensive, and is a Producer of “The Playground Series (PT),” which recently featured her own script, “He Roars.” She is currently developing a new play about the Brontë sisters (The Burnt Manuscript), and producing an original webseries (#twentyfive). She founded My Little Princess Events in 2012 (www.mylittleprincess.ca), which hires local actresses to bring “faith, trust and pixie dust” to little birthday princesses throughout the Lower Mainland.
