Rigole, Kelly

Biography: 

Kelly has a B.F.A. with a Specialization in Theatre Performance from Concordia University. While studying in Montreal, she developed her craft with dance, corporeal mime, classical text and mask work. Kelly directed the verbatim theatre piece "Grain of Salt" (9th Hour Theatre) and is Assistant Directing "Best Brothers" (Great Canadian Theatre Company) as the RBC Emerging Artist recipient. Acting credits include "A MidwinterÂ’s Dream Tale" (G.C.T.C.) "Henry V" (Company of Fools), "This is a Recording" (Ditto Productions), "They All Do It" (Odyssey Theatre), "Medea" (Third Wall Theatre/Deluxe Hot Sauce) and "Blood Relations" (Unicorn Theatre). Kelly is also a co-founding member of Ditto Productions a theatre company dedicated to creating new work in the style of verbatim theatre. Ditto is currently in the works with their next new creation "The Pit". Kelly is also a founding member of the theatre collective Deluxe Hot Sauce dedicated to telling complex female stories. Deluxe's recent credits include "SKIN" (performed at The G.C.T.C.'s 2013 Undercurrents Festival) and "Meanwhile Back in the Box" at the theatrical event "Sub Devision" (Magnetic North Theatre Festival). "SKIN" was nominated for Outstanding New Creation at the 2014 Prix Rideau Awards.
