Julie has been the Artistic Director of the Bad Dog Theatre Company (http://www.baddogtheatre.com) since 2010. She started improvising over 20 years ago with the Canadian Improv Games, where she went on to serve as national Associate Artistic Director, Head Judge, Festival Director, Toronto Regional Director and Artistic Director of both Improv Camp and the Next Act Festival. A multiple Canadian Comedy Award-nominee, she has performed, directed & taught improvisation across North America & in Australia, as well as at sea with Second City Theatricals. She has directed international ensembles at festivals in Vancouver, Edmonton and Halifax and leads Bad Dog's resident Repertory Players. With her previous company, PROJECTproject, Julie produced the COMBUSTIONfestival for three years (returning it to Toronto in 2015 under the Bad Dog umbrella). She is the co-creator of the internationally-franchised improv format: catch23 IMPROV and one half of the appealingly appalling “progressive” improv duo 10,000 to Flight. The rest of the time, she is a voice actor. If you're interested in her thoughts on baseball and/or photos of her dog: @JulieDoom
