Biography: 

Brenley is a Canadian director, actor and playwright. Most recently her company, Harley Dog Productions, premiered its inaugural Stratford production, ALMOST, MAINE. Her play On the Other Side of the World, made its world premier at the prestigious Next Stage Festival in Toronto, which she also directed. Her love for new Canadian works has lead to her involvement with Scriptlab, Musical TheatreWorks Vancouver, and the Charlottetown Festival. Brenley penned an adaptation of The Waves, based on the infamous novel by Virginia Woolf, which premiered at the Toronto Fringe, and received the Patron’s Pick award and was a Best of Fringe selection. Other select credits include assistant director, under Susan Ferley at The Grand Theatre in London, ON, on the Canadian premiere of The Great Gatsby, as well as the musical Hair. Other credits include assistant director on the Canadian premiere of Parade for Studio 180 and Acting Upstage Theatre; and director of Mo & Jess Kill Susie, which played a completely sold out run in Toronto last summer. Brenley has worked for Stage West, Drayton Entertainment, The Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, Theatre Aquarius, and The Grand Theatre (to name a few). Brenley is currently developing a new play, entitled 588, about the most successful all-female bomber squad during WWII.
