Jackson, Krista

Biography: 

Krista is the current Associate Artistic Director of the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, founding Artistic Director of zone41 theatre in Winnipeg and Artistic Associate at The Grand Theatre - 2014/15 season. She is currently directing Dancing at Lughnasa at The Shaw Festival.

Selected Credits: Associate Director: All My Sons (Martha Henry - Stratford), Director: Bittergirl: The Musical, Private Lives, The Seagull (Royal MTC); The Lion in Winter, Fly me to the Moon, Much Ado about Nothing (The Grand); Dying to be Thin (MTYP). For zone41 theatre she has directed an acclaimed revival of Shaw’s Village Wooing, developed and premiered Chekhov’s Three Sisters in a new prairie adaptation by Bruce McManus, The Miser of Middlegate - Molière’s The Miser in a modern version by Carolyn Gray and the recent contemporary re-imagining of Shakespeare’s Richard the 2nd - Am I Not King? The Last Concert of Richard 2 - featuring Royal Canoe.

Krista has participated in the Shaw Festival’s Neil Munro Directors Project (2012) and the Stratford Festival’s Michael Langham Workshop for Classical Direction (2014/2015).
