Biography: 

A Toronto-based performer, director and playwright, Ginette is passionate about creating imaginative stories with dynamic physical expression at their core. Selected Performing: The Winter's Tale, As You Like It (Stratford); The Love List (TNB); Mom’s the Word (Drayton); Amadeus (Theatre Aquarius); Skin Flick (Neptune Theatre); Static (Expect Theatre); The Enchanted Forest (Patria); A Bird’s Eye View (Theatre LMNOP). Comedy: The Second City; Monkey Toast; Bad Dog Theatre, Caroline’s New York; Stand-Up New York. Directing: Snack Music (SNAFU); Life as a Pomegranate (Midtown International Theatre Festival, NYC); The Underpants and Burying Toni (Alumnae Theatre); The De Chardin Project (The Quickening Theatre). Playwriting: writer/performer in Fish Face and The Truth about Comets and co-writer/performer in The Children’s Museum (The Quickening Theatre); co-writer/director for The Last Man on Earth and co-writer/pe rformer in The Belle of Winnipeg (Keystone Theatre); co-writer/director for Tikva’s Orchestra (lab le jeu). Collaborations: collaborator/performer in Emily’s Piano (YPT); Ten Green Bottles (Te-Amim) and Gorey Story (The Thistle Project). Awards: Ginette’s productions have garnered The Cultch Theatre Award, a Canadian Comedy Award, Best of Fringe, Critic’s Picks, Best Director Nominations, and Dora Awards and Nominations. Teaching: theatre at YPT, York University, Shakespeare in Action, Shakespearience and The Classical Theatre Project; improvisation at The Second City, The Living Arts Centre and Bad Dog Theatre; movement and collective creation at York University; dance at StageCoach Theatre Arts.
