Froberg, Wendy

Biography: 

Wendy’s plays Interruptions and A Woman of a Certain Age were each awarded Outstanding Original Script at the 2011 and 2013 Calgary One-Act Play Festivals. She produced and acted in each of these solo shows in various venues, including the Calgary and Winnipeg International Fringe Festivals. Her play Riches was produced in 2013 by Urban Stories Theatre for their main season. She is currently writing a libretto for Cowtown Opera celebrating the inspiring efforts of Annie Davidson in founding the Calgary Public Library. Her musical entitled Rainbow Babies and her play Queen of the Ring are currently undergoing dramaturgy. Each of these pieces is about women and/or features them in primary roles. As an actor and singer, Wendy has performed with several Calgary theatre companies, including Mob Hit, Morpheus, Workshop, Gas and Light, Full Circle, Company of Rogues, Fire Exit, Sage and UrbanCurvz as well as her own company, Archetype Productions.
