Biography: 

Daniela Vlaskalic is an award winning actor and writer and has worked extensively across Canada. Selected credits include: The Bull, The Moon & The Coronet of Stars, (Theatre Department, SummerWorks Festival 2014), Deathtrap, I’ll Be Back Before Midnight (Drayton Entertainment); Goodnight Desdemona, Good Morning Juliet (Belfry Theatre); God of Carnage (Theatre Calgary); That Summer (Theatre North West); Drama (Alberta Theatre Projects; playRites ’11); Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure (Theatre Aquarius); The Drowning Girls (Tarragon Theatre, Gateway Theatre, Belfry Theatre, Persephone Theatre, Citadel Theatre, MTC Warehouse.), How the Other Half Loves (Drayton Entertainment), Boston Marriage (Skeleton Key Theatre); Doubt (Canadian Stage); Stratford Shakespeare Festival, Helena in All’s Well That Ends Well, the Player Queen in Hamlet and appeared in The Taming of the Shrew. Vimy, Equus, Einstein’s Gift (Citadel Theatre); Arms and the Man (NAC, Citadel Theatre, Vancouver Playhouse); Cripple of Inishmaan (Theatre Calgary); The Blue Light (Fire Hall Arts Centre); Nora in A Doll’s House (Persephone Theatre); At the Zenith of the Empire (Teatro La Quindicina); Hippies and Bolsheviks, Picking up Chekhov (Alberta Theatre Projects; playRites ’06); Apple (Workshop West Theatre); Featuring Loretta (theatre riffraff, Magnetic North Festival 2003); Love’s Labour’s Lost, Romeo and Juliet, Merchant of Venice, Twelfth Night, Two Gentleman of Verona; (Free Will Players); Twelfth Night, Strawberries in January, The Red Priest (Globe Theatre). She is also one of the co-creators of the multiple award winning play The Drowning Girls, (Dora nomination, Sterling Award, Betty Mitchell Award, SATA Award) which has also toured across Canada, is published by Canada Playwrights Press and received the Gwen Pharis Ringwood Award for Drama.
