Carolyn Zapf is a playwright, dramaturg, and publishing professional in Toronto, Ontario. She is currently co-artistic director and dramaturg of New Ideas Festival, a three-week juried festival of new works and experimental theatre produced annually by the Alumnae Theatre Company in Toronto. As a playwright, she has written commissioned works on Canadian historical themes for theatres across Canada, including the Vancouver Playhouse, Montreals Saidye Bronfman Centre, and the National Theatre School of Canada, as well as various works for children. She is a member of the Playwrights Guild of Canada and the Editors Association of Canada, and currently sits on the Board of Directors of Alumnae Theatre in Toronto.
