Cherissa Richards has performed as an actor for the past 20 years across the country. As of late, Cherissa has been pursuing directing in internships at Bard on the Beach in Vancouver 2018, The Shaw Festival 2019 and prior to the pandemic, the Stratford Festival in Ontario in 2020. In 2021, Cherissa co-directed VOICE at Prairie Theatre Exchange, directed Meet me at Dawn with Theatre by the River, and was the recipient of the Crow’s Theatre RBC Rising Star Emerging Director Prize, and she was one of the directors in Whynot Theatre’s 2021 This Gen Fellowship. Look out for Cherissa's directorial debut in Bard on the Beach's 2022 season with Harlem Duet and she also directing in Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre's 2023 season for Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Class by Hanna Moscovitch.
