Biography:
Cherish Violet Blood is a Blackfoot women from the Blood reserve located in southern Alberta. A Writer, Actress, Vocalist, Storyteller and Comedian. Cherish is a graduate from the Center for Indigenous Theatres full time program in Toronto. Recent productions include The WOW project comes out,Material Witness/Spider woman Theater,Making Treaty 7,the lead role in Maria Gets and New Life by Cliff Cardinal and After the Fire: Based on Interviews about Idle No More. She enjoys working and teaching youth theatre and other arts practices. She believes Storytelling and humor are the greatest tools for inspiring and learning about who you are and where you come from.
