Frid, Catherine

Biography: 

Catherine Frid's produced plays include Burying Toni, Over the Edge, The Bold Canadian, Homegrown, GuineaPigging, Dead Cat Bounce, and a number of short works. She also co-creates and produces work with communities, including AfterWhys (commissioned by the Suicide Awareness Council of Wellington-Dufferin) and Our Voices: Senior Selfies, a play about the realities of rural Ontario seniors today. Catherine has been Artist in Residence at Osgoode Hall Law School, and Playwright in Residence at Mixed Company Theatre. Publications include Our Voices: Senior Selfies (ArtAge); Community with Strangers in Scenes from a Diverse World (ICWP); Us and Them in Thirtysomethings: Mother-Daughter Monologues (ICWP); and This Isn't Toronto in Long Story Short (PCP). Upcoming: Mixed Company Theatre's school tour of Half Full, a play about youth anxiety for grades 7 - 10 (April 2017).
