Carly Chamberlain is a Toronto-based director and producer, and a graduate ofthe Directing Program at the National Theatre School of Canada. At NTS she directed Lucy Peacock in Samuel Beckett's Happy Days, as well as directing Jon Fosse's I Am The Wind and a new play by Rachel Ganz. Originally from Toronto, Carly's other directing credits have included Vinegar Tom (Playwright Project), Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet) (Hart House Theatre) and Overruled/Romance (Neoteny Theatre). Past projects have also included outreach coordination and an apprenticeship in Artistic Direction with Driftwood Theatre, and acting for three seasons with Halifax's Shakespeare By The Sea.
Most recently Carly produced and directed Ganz' Plucked for the 2016 SummerWorks Performance Festival, which was honoured as Runner-up for Best Production in the SummerWorks Awards and recognised in Now Magazine for Outstanding Direction. Her production of Much Ado About Nothing at Hart House Theatre was widely praised, with Lynn Slotkin calling Chamberlain the "star of the show."
