Meighan, Anne

Biography: 

Anne graduated with honours from York University in Ensemble Performance and Direction. She was Artistic Director and co-producer of NovaStage theatre from 2004-08. Her directing highlights include Mona Rogers in Person (Wigs & Lipstick 2013 San Diego Fringe) Baby Redboots’ Revenge (Baby Monster Prod 2012 NYC Solonova Festival), Brother Andre’s Heart (Duchess Productions, Toronto Fringe 2011), Desperate Housepets, Harris Superman, Wickedly Wonderful, CHALLENGER (NovaStage 2004-2008). Anne was assistant director to Daniel MacIvor on his play Communion at Tarragon Theatre, and was managing director of Linda Griffiths' Duchess Productions. As a performer, Anne has appeared in selected projects, including the title role in Medusa/Medea by Miriam Weisfeld (NovaStage), Vladimir in Waiting for Godot (Studio 142), Lady Macbeth (SPT), Mac in Three Viewings, Tom/Phyllis/Leslie in Sylvia (GLT), and co-starred in Romeo and Juliet with the Stratford Festival’s “Shakespeare on Wheels”. In 2007 Anne received the Bernice Adams Award for Direction for her work on Harris Superman.
