Andrea Boyd is a director, theatre educator and playwright. Writing credits include Angel’s River, produced by Live Bait Theatre in New Brunswick, and the North American Actors' Association Play Reading Festival in London, UK (2010); Stalker: The Musical,with songs by Paul Morgan Donald, staged reading though Canadian Centre for Theatre Creation, (2011), Molly, presented in conjunction with the New Works festival at the University of Alberta & Sage Theatre’s Ignite Festival, (2008) and Kid Sister, presented by Found Productions (Montreal, 1997).  Most recently she attending the Playwright’ Atlantic Resource Centre’s Playwrights’ Colony, 2013, where she competed her play, For the Love of Gracie Gray, winner of the 2013 Write-On-Q Quebec Playwrighting Competition. Directing credits include: The Hound of the Baskervilles, (Theatre Lac Brome) Seasons,by Jane Heather (StageLab University of Alberta), BANG! (Edmonton Fringe), While We’re Young (Citadel Theatre Young Company), The Piper (University of Alberta), The Blue Light (Keyano Theatre), After Juliet (Citadel Theatre Teens@theturn Festival), Seussical the Musical (Keyano college) The Paper Bag Princess & Other Stories, Playwrights Cabaret and Listen to the Wind (The Grand Theatre) Kingfisher Days (Covenant Theatre) One Flea Spare (Studio Theatre, U of A), The Tempest, Stone and Ashes (Media Room, U of A). She completed her MFA in Directing at the U of A in 2006. Andrea is a member of the Playwright’s Guild of Canada, CAEA, the Playwright’s Atlantic Resource Centre, and Playwright’s Workshop Montreal.
