One Thing More Public Event
November 14th 2016 11am-1pm Abbey Theatre, Dublin
#WakingTheFeminists will hold our final major public event after a full year of campaigning that has changed Irish theatre for the better.
Everyone is welcome to come and celebrate this extraordinary year with us, and help to make sure that Irish theatre stays woke forever!
Booking:
Tickets are now gone, and there is no waiting list. We will be running a returns list at the Abbey Theatre from 9.30am on the 14th, and tickets will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. We expect the venue to be filled, and we hope to be able to relay the audio, at least, into the foyer.
Type of event:
The event will last 2 hours, and will mirror the first public meeting that took place one year ago at the Abbey, with multiple speakers giving short speeches. We’ll hear an update from the major theatre companies who spoke at our event on March 8th. We will also be releasing some of the headline findings of our research to date into gender balance in Irish theatre over the past 10 years.
Live streaming & tweeting:
We plan to have the event live tweeted from @WTFeminists and live streamed on Periscope and on Facebook Live so you can watch it wherever you are. As ever, we will be slightly at the whim of internet speeds, so bear with us. We will also be filming the event and will be sharing the video online later.
If you can’t be at the meeting we’ll also be live tweeting using #WTFOneThing and live streaming the event on Periscope & Facebook Live. We’ve contacted venues around the country to see if they will host a viewing, and the details will appear over the coming weeks on our website.
