I have been galvanized into action!! #HERstoryCounts is a theatre project: brave, rebellious, and unstoppable. A project I created in response to what I saw happening around us in our theatre and film communities with the lack of diversity from the creation level when it came to storytelling.
#HERstoryCounts is a movement! One that I can see exploding all over the world one person at a time, one production at a time, taking root in communities everywhere. #HERstoryCounts is creating a new possibility for our theatre community. The possibility of having more female leaders, more womyn taking on big projects, more visibility for womyn who have felt silenced, and an overall awareness of the importance of womyn in the world free from constraint and living a life of self-expression and authenticity.
Aaaaand... #HERstoryCounts is an independently financed Canadian production with big dreams, and it cannot be understated how much we need your support to make it a reality. Your contributions is what will make her story count.
