Jeffery, Sam
Sam Jeffery is an is an intimacy director and coordinator, actor, creator, and award-nominated fight director. Born and raised in amiskwaciwâskahikan (Edmonton) on Treaty 6 territory, she received her BFA in Acting from the University of Alberta.
Sam has been nominated for two Sterling Awards for "Outstanding Choreography or Fight Direction" for her work on Henry V (Malachite Theatre) and Mr. Burns, A Post Electric Play (Blarney Prod/You Are Here Theatre). She has trained with Fight Directors Canada and fight masters from across the globe in a variety of disciplines.
Sam was the recipient of the 2019 Nordic & Cloutier Family Innovation Award in support of her advancement in the field of Intimacy Direction. She is certified in intimacy direction and intimacy coordination with Intimacy Directors and Coordinators (IDC), and was involved with the creation of the National Society of Intimacy Professionals (NSIP).
