Handsome Alice Salons are events where an inter-generational exchange of ideas can take place; where theatre makers can meet to share ideas and projects, debate, discuss, present readings and works in progress. Our mission is to bring the theatre community together to strengthen creative ties between emerging and established theatre artists.
This new community-based project will see Sarasvàti’s artists teaming up with Artists in Health Care, Red Threads Playback Theatre and the Selkirk Mental Health Centre as well as working with multiple community organizations such as the Manitoba Schizophrenia Society.
Bring your laptop, grab your stash of programs if you have one, and come to the new ADC offices for a Hack-a-thon. The goal: populate the web with information on the myriad of woman designers making marvelous work in Canada on the eve of International Women's Day. We'll be adding profiles and links to PerformanceWiki.ca. Light refreshments - lots of camaraderie. All welcome.
