NAKED HEART – The LGBTQ Festival of Words

Glad Day Bookshop is thrilled to present the first year of NAKED HEART – The LGBTQ Festival of Words. Our vision for NAKED HEART is to establish a yearly Canadian LGBTQ literary festival that amplifies love, language & freedom.

This year, over 75 authors are presenting over 40 panels, workshops and readings during the weekend of October 16th, 17th and 18th. NAKED HEART takes place at four sites in the Church & Wellesley village of Toronto.

2015 Emergence Symposium | Arts & Equity: Leading Social Change

2015 Emergence Symposium | Arts & Equity: Leading Social Change will convene 200 artists, cultural workers, community leaders, academics, youth and policy makers to answer some of these important questions surrounding equity, diversity and inclusiveness in a facilitated three day conference experience that will create space for critical dialogue, leadership development, creative self-reflection, mentorship and cross sector collaborations.

Women Playwrights International (WPI) is dedicated to planning and convening international conferences for women playwrights. They have brought together women playwrights and allied theatre artists, cultural workers and scholars together since 1988.

Roundtable: Staging Equity: Actualization or Appropriation?

The "Staging Equity: Actualization or Appropriation?" Roundtable is part of the 2015 Congress and the annual Canadian Association for Theatre Research (CATR) conference, which will take place at the University of Ottawa in Ottawa, Ontario from May 30 to June 2, 2015.

EIT Co-organizers Rebecca Burton and Laine Zisman Newman convened this roundtable, which will be moderated by Dr. Michelle MacArthur.
