Produced By Playwrights’ Workshop Montréal.

February 10, 2016 @7p.m. | Admission is free

Jordan Tannahill's plays explore themes of gender politics, youth culture, and marginalized identity through the playful combination of documentary elements and magic realism. He will be reading from his award winning play rihannaboi95, a piece performed over Internet livestream, and his book Theatre of the Unimpressed: In Search of Vital Drama, which The Globe and Mail called "essential reading for anyone interested in the state of contemporary theatre and performance."

Jordan Tannahill is a playwright, theatre director and filmmaker. In naming him a 2014 Canadian Artist of the Year, The Globe and Mail called Jordan "...the poster child of a new generation of artists for whom "interdisciplinary" is not a buzzword, but a way of life". In collaboration with William Ellis, Jordan runs the alternative art-space Videofag, out of a defunct barbershop in Toronto's Kensington Market. Jordan received the 2014 Governor Generals Award for Drama for his book Age of Minority: Three Solo Plays and Dora Awards for rihannaboi95 in 2013 and Concord Floral in 2015. He has upcoming productions at the National Arts Centre of Canada and Canadian Stage.
