About the Event:
“The Brave Space,” as presented by HERstory Counts Theatre Company, is a fundraising cabaret celebrating diverse Cis Women, Trans Women and Non-binary folks. The goal of this fundraising cabaret is to ensure that we are able to produce our upcoming production in December, 2017, as well as to support and give a platform to marginalized voices in the arts community.
We are seeking a wide range of cross disciplinary artists, such as, but not limited to: musicians, stand up comedians, spoken word artists, poets, visual artists, monologues, burlesque, singer/song writers, and collaborative pieces. We also welcome applicants from artists and disciplines not listed above.
We strongly encourage applicants from all backgrounds, ages*, races, histories, sizes, sexual orientations, and abilities.
How to Submit:
Please submit a headshot and resume as well as one or all of the following:
-Video of the piece you intend to perform
-Written document of the piece you intend to perform
-An image of your work that you wish to display
We will also accept a written proposal for the work you are willing to present.
