Shebelski, Jamie Lee


Jamie Lee Shebelski is an award-winning Canadian actor and emerging director with over 50 professional credits to her name. Born and raised in Saskatoon, she trained at Ryerson Theatre School in Toronto where she earned her Diploma in Performing Art, as well as a BFA, both with Honours.

A professional actor since the age of 15, she has appeared on stages across Canada, from Toronto to Whitehorse, including roles in Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, The Merchant of Venice (with Henry Wolfe as Shylock), The Importance of Being Earnest, It's All True, The Coronation Voyage, Velocity,The Diary of Anne Frank, The Guardsman, The Science of Disconnection, the hit-comedy Dry Streak, the critically-acclaimed world premiere of The Walnut Tree, The Alchemist , and Gordon Winter (in which she was fortunate to share the stage with Canadian legend Gordon Tootoosis). She has been honoured with SATAwards for Outstanding Achievement in Performance for her 2009/2010 Body of Work, and Outstanding Achievement in Ensemble Performance for The Alchemist, as well as receiving numerous nominations.

Jamie Lee has been involved in the development and workshopping of several new Saskatchewan plays through SPC’s Spring Festival, most notably Velocity by Dan Macdonald and Bite the Hand by Mansel Robinson. She is also a popular voice-over artist in Saskatchewan, having done plays for CBC Radio One (Glacial Erratic and Coping Stages), as well as many radio and tv ads.
